Preparation:
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt and set aside. In another large bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg, milk and vanilla and beat until combined; then add flour mixture until totally combined. Shape into a disk and wrap in plastic. Refrigerate 1 hour. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line baking sheets with parchment paper. Lightly flour a work surface and roll out dough until 1/8 inch thick. Cut out cute seasonal shapes and place on baking sheets. Freeze for 10 minutes so your cookie forms hold while baking. While you are freezing your dough, make your frosting! Beat butter until smooth, then add powdered sugar and beat until smooth. Add cream, almond extract, and salt and beat until combined. Use food coloring to create fun colored frosting. Bake cookies until edges are lightly golden, about 8 to 10 minutes. Let cookies cool before frosting and decorating. Enjoy and share with others!
